Above are the Opal settings I used for the tracks below. The "Loop Level on the back was set at 3 O'clock. The Opal was plugged into a 1X12 Two Rock cab with a 12 Fane speaker. The cab was miked with AKG C414-B-ULS 14 inches in front of the cab and pumped into ProTools. No effects, No compression, No overdubs, No nothing. What you hear is what you get! See guitars below!

| This is my baby a 1963 Strat with the original pickups. The track is a tune I am working on. Kind of a Hendrix kind of E thing. The Strat is in pickup position #2 - the bridge and middle pickups. The amp set on the clean channel with EQ2. | ||
| This track is a little blues with the standard 1-6-2-5 turnaround. I through in some chords, walking bass, and singles notes. The 335 is set on the neck pickup throughout.... and these are the same exact settings except EQ1 instead of EQ2. | ||
| This is the 335 neck pickup on the channel with the lead bypass on. Otherwise same setting as the above 335. Starts off as a blues in G then morphs into "Revelation" by ...now who was that guy again? ;-) | ||

I was just warming up for a session getting levels and nailed this one in one take. So it's a little sloppy near the end. But the tone is just KILLER! My 59 Historic Les Paul through the Opal lead channel! | |
